OUR HISTORY

The Sugbo-Chinese Heritage Museum was conceived during the Jesuit Chinese-Filipino Lay Apostolate convention held in September of 2010. Alongside their lay partners, the group reflected on the enduring relevance and contributions of the Chinese community within Cebuano society. This collective vision gave rise to the idea of establishing a dedicated hub — a Chinese Heritage Center — to celebrate, preserve, and share the rich cultural legacy of the Chinese-Filipino presence in Cebu.
